A Little About My Journey
I found a wire wrapped heart pendant I loved at a renaissance festival in 1999. This one piece started me on a journey. I started with wire wrapping jewelry mostly store bought beads. I made earrings, rings, pendants and bracelets. I played around with lampworking at one point. I bought a kiln so I could properly anneal my beads. I started wire wrapping cabochons other glass artists made. I wanted to create but my ventilation was not set up yet and my shop was too cold. I brought my little table top kiln in the house and started to play. I am now addicted to glass fusing. I love to experiment. I have added a grinder, cutting system, dremel and a silhouette cutting machine to my supplies. I love the freedom it gives me to create. I can make images of my own from dichroic glass and with decal sheets using my cutting machine. I have recently started making wind chimes. I am constantly learning and trying new techniques. I am currently trying to master drop vessels for small votive candles.
